ELECTRIC BICYCLES
The Public Enterprise City Parking- Skopje informs the citizens that this year the enterprise, in collaboration with the founder City of Skopje, conducted activities for improving the project “Skopje Rent a Bike”. Therefore, this spring, the enterprise will officially put into service the new purchased bikes which are electric bikes and all of the 250 bikes available to the enterprise. For the following season the enterprise purchased 10 (ten) electric bikes which increased and renewed the fleet.
The aim of the project “Skopje Rent a Bike” is to raise the eco sense among the citizens and to encourage them to change their habits. Bikes can be used as an alternative means of transport, especially in the center of the city, which means lower gas emission and the result is healthier and cleaner environment. Moreover, the electric bikes are good opportunity for recreation and sightseeing. On the one sight, the use of electric bikes means: greater mobility to the both, citizens and visitors of Skopje as well as access to the sights and monuments that are of cultural and historical importance. On the other sight, everybody can rent a bike and can enjoy the company of friends and family.
The electric bikes will be available only at one location- at the Square Macedonia and they must be returned there after the exceeded time. The rest of the bikes will be available at the well-known parking lots: Treska, City Hospital, City Hospital 8th of September and in municipality of Aerodrom at parking zone D3, which is located behind the Business Center Biser, and from this year at one more place- at the parking garage Ss. Cyril and Methodius.
